Red Oak is a humanitarian, developmental and cultural non-profit organization established in Lebanon in 2017. Red Oak is committed to a sustainable, inclusive, and innovative approach to protecting and educating vulnerable populations in Lebanon. This includes children at risk, survivors of violence, exploitation, and abuse and their caregivers, women and girls, and persons with disabilities. Our approach stands out for its holistic and inclusive methodology, using art as a powerful catalyst for change.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver awareness sessions on GBV issues (sexual and reproductive health, early marriage, and protection related issues) face-to-face.
- Plan, identify and prepare materials required for every intervention.
- Ensure the creation of positive atmosphere for women and girls through encouraging them to express their needs.
- Identify and refer the cases at GBV risk on the base of the referral pathways adopted by Red Oak.
- Develop pre- and post-test questions to determine the level of knowledge and skills of trainees
- Provide coaching and mentoring to participants to ensure the practical application of knowledge gained during sessions.
- Write a training completion report detailing the training conduct including the outputs of the training and an evaluation of the knowledge acquired by participants.
- Collect attendance of participants in the activities, and fill in reports as required.
- Respect of beneficiaries’ confidentiality.
- Respect and abide to the organization’s internal code of conduct.
- Demonstrate very good and experienced facilitation skills that makes them eligible to conduct the sessions in a professional manner while respecting the Do No Harm humanitarian principle.
- Collect attendance of participants in the activities, and fill in reports as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Had previous training experience in delivering similar training and very good facilitation skills.
- Good knowledge of gender concepts and human rights-based approaches.
- Experience in working for gender equality, ending GBV and women and girls’ empowerment.
- Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and capacity-building for individuals and groups.
- Basic knowledge of national, regional, and international legal frameworks on women’s and
girls’ rights. - High ability to analyze and address community needs and challenges.
- Knowledge in Safe Identification and Referral is a must.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable in communicating in both Arabic and English languages (English for reporting is a must).
