- The Education Field Assistant is responsible for a day-to-day follow up with RI’s Community Education Workers (CEWs) during the implementation of the Program;
- Ensure direct supervision and coordination with the CEWs in relation to programs’ activities under the direct guidance of the CFE Program Coordinator
- Responsible for managing the CEWs under his/her supervision, including but not limited to: proper implementation of work plans, reporting any grievances to the Program Coordinator, ensure close coordination with the CFE Program Coordinator regarding employee relations’ issues…etc.
- Ensure the acceptance and the visibility of the project and its objectives among the targeted beneficiaries, their families, and local communities by consistent professional and humanitarian comportment at all times;
- Responsible for conducting validation exercises with schools to ensure the eligibility of the targeted children
- Participate in distribution of ATM cards for CFE beneficiary households as requested;
- Report challenges, successes of the project implementation on a daily basis;
- Provide daily updates to the CFE Program Coordinator regarding progress of tasks, risk areas, problems, issues faced with the schools targeted, refugees, and/or host communities, critical work delays and all related aspects;
- Follow up on beneficiary’s attendance sheet reported by the Community Education Workers;
- Participate in MEAL activities;
- Ensure that Community Education Workers (CEWs) are providing clear information communication with beneficiaries regarding the cash assistance activities and procedures;
- Ensure a good implementation of the education awareness sessions:
- Report safeguarding concerns through available reporting channels;
- Identify any cases that might be at risk of abuse or neglect, and/or require MH support;
- Refer cases that require health, food assistance, protection, nutrition or any other type of support to the different organizations providing different types of support;
- Ensure that the validation process is well implemented;
- Support the Program Coordinator in reporting;
- Refer cases for further follow up by specialized agencies identified at the field level;
- Follow up on referred cases identified at the field level;
- Direct communication and follow up with parents to ensure that they are aware of the educational awareness sessions, cash assistance loading, or other concerns might face.
- Contribute to identification of locations for implementation of awareness sessions in targeted beneficiary communities.
- Other duties as requested by the direct line Manager.
