Driver - Beirut Mount Lebanon

Position:                              Driver Reports to:                         Logistic Officer /Operations manager Location:                             Multiple locations in Lebanon   About RI:                             Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programs bridging relief and development currently seeks Drivers for RI’s health and nutrition programming in Lebanon in response to the Syria crisis. Position Summary: The driver will be responsible for providing safe and secure transportation for RI's Field Team working under programs focusing on Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities Main Responsabilities: Transport RI employees and other designated persons and supplies to and from various locations throughout the country.  Drivers must adhere to posted speed limits, never to exceed 80 Km /Hour (50Miles/Hour). Drivers should inspect the vehicles each time before driving and make sure that all vehicle documents are in order as required by  Lebanon’s regulations and norms. Drives RI vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc Performs minor repairs and arranges for other and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and in a good shape Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil change greasing, etc… Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident Helping staff members and official visitors with airport pick-up/drop and other governmental formalities such as customs clearance, visas, residency permits, etc... Ensuring that all the team is always up-to-date in terms of addresses, locations and papers requested for visas and any governmental formality. Take care of all safety measures, including seatbelts, spare tire, manual jack, and other tools for replacing tires when needed. Inform supervisor immediately when vehicle requires service (repairs or regular maintenance), when problems arise concerning vehicle operations, and all other instances of vehicle malfunction, or as indicated on service log Follow security protocols for displaying the RI logo and flag while driving during working hours. Performs other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS &REQUIREMENTS: Excellent driving skills, minimum 3 years of driving skills experience with a clean driving record, secondary school education, and valid driving license.  Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in the handling of all types of officials including police and military personnel.  Sense of humor and patience are essential.
