- Transport RI employees and other designated persons to and from various locations throughout the country where a Driver must adhere to posted speed limits, never to exceed 100 Km /Hour.
- Responsible to complete thevehicle log sheet on a daily basisand to submit it to the direct supervisor every fifteen days.
- Ensure that only RI employee’s enter RI vehicles.
- Ensure that all personnel put theseatbelt and that total number of passengers is within legal limits.
- Responsible to drive carefully respecting all traffic rules, speed limits, other vehicles and pedestrians.
- Driver must practice safe driving at all times.
- Coordinate with the direct supervisor when any employee requests from him to drive him/her to a personal place not related to work.
- Make sure not to use the mobile phonewhile driving.
- Ensure that nobody is smoking in the vehicle.
- Ensure that no weapons enter the vehicles.
- Follow the RI internal policy about the alcohol which is not allowing to consume alcohol during working hours.
- Ensure that the vehicle is always clean (inside and outside) while engine should also be cleaned on a regular basis.
- Make a daily check on the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, spare parts, etc.)
- Ensure all vehicle equipment is complete and in good working order, including spare tires before undertaking any journeys.
- Ensure that all vehicle’s and driver’s documents are in vehicle, i.e. driving licence, registration papers, insurance, and inform the direct supervisorif something is missing or expiring soon.
- Wash the assigned vehicle regularly (once or twice per week,as assigned by the Logistic Assistant).
- Report immediately to the direct supervisor of any mechanical, maintenance needs, incidents/accidents or other problems related tothe vehicle.
- It is the driver’s sole responsibility to pay any fine or punishments imposed by traffic police of government for violation of traffic rules and regulations.
- Perform numerous tasks assisting the logistics, administrative, procurement, and financial offices. Examples of tasks include, but are not limited to photocopying, purchasing material and goods, moving equipment and items, etc...
- Any other duties as assigned by the RI Country Office Management.
