Field Assistant

Position Summary: The Field Assistant will be responsible for working closely with project management to ensure the presence of an effective and efficient implementation of field activities implemented in Beirut/Mount Lebanon in alignment with the Projects’ Cash Component. This position requires a highly responsible and a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results under pressure while demonstrating the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and tasks. Act as the point of contact to supervise, lead and coordinate the field activities and logistics requirements of Outreach Workers and Enumerators while ensuring that their technical deliverables and behavioral competencies are in alignment with position’s and organizational standards. The Field Assistant should contribute effectively and efficiently to data consolidation, refinement and data confidentiality which is implemented in alignment with the vulnerability field assessments and beneficiaries’ selection. Responsibilities and Duties: Provide needed assistance and input to the Program Coordinator in order to map out potential geographical locations to be targeted within the Cash component; Provide daily updates to the Program Coordinator regarding progress of tasks, risk areas, problems, issues faced with the refugees and/or host communities, critical work delays and all related employee-relations aspects; Act as the point of contact to supervise, lead and coordinate the field activities and logistics requirements of Outreach Workers and Enumerators while ensuring that their technical deliverables and behavioral competencies are in alignment with position’s and organizational standards Provide effective and efficient deliverables during the vulnerability field assessment and beneficiaries’ selection stage by implementing the following tasks: Acting as the liaison and the main point of contact with Outreach Workers and Enumerators located in specific areas in Bekaa in order to ensure that their tasks are implemented in alignment with the needed work plans, timeframes and deadlines;  Acting as a representative to ensure the acceptance and the visibility of the project and its objectives among beneficiaries, their families and local communities; Assisting in and conducting structured interviews with identified families while using designed questionnaires which should be finalized through RAIS for proper documentation and analysis; Ensure that the questionnaires submitted by the enumerators are filled out in an accurate and precise manner and in alignment with the standard operating procedure; Organizing and conducting households visits and interviews with identified families by establishing the needed communication first and setting appointments accordingly; Ensuring that beneficiaries are provided with the needed guidance regarding the cash assistance activities and procedures; Following up with the beneficiaries regarding the cash assistance cards’ status and providing needed support in alignment with the beneficiaries’ inquiries, concerns and difficulties faced. Conduct daily field visits in order to supervise the effectiveness and the quality of work implemented by the Outreach Workers and the Enumerators; provide needed support to the Outreach Worker and Enumerators regarding work requests and needs in alignment with the outreach activities and community mobilization tasks;    Identify the field activities and tasks of outreach workers and remunerators on a weekly basis and set the weekly transportation plan while ensuring that the needed data is shared at the right time with the concerned personnel; Establish and maintain a well-structured filing system for all activities executed at the designated areas; Ensure effective and efficient documentation of all collected data and records related to the beneficiaries and field activities while making sure that it is maintained properly and dealt with in a highly confidential manner; Attend UNHCR meetings and trainings whenever requested and engage with local community leaders to facilitate the work of the teams on the fields while ensuring that RI is represented in a highly professional and respectful manner; Foster and maintain an effective, efficient and positive relationship with the beneficiaries, their families, local communities, RI’ project staff and governmental agencies; As per the organizational/projects needs and requirements, the job holder might be requested to perform tasks outside the scope of work descried throughout this document
