Grants and Reporting Officer

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The Grants and Reporting Officer is expected to possess strong writing skills, editing, and organisational skills. He/she must take initiative and show attention to detail in all day-to-day work. The Grants and Reporting volunteer will assist the Grants Manager with all aspects of grants management, reporting and communications to help deliver strong projects and promote RI’s image and mandate to external audiences.

Grants Management Support:

  • Maintain a report submission deadline calendar to track timely submission of donor reports.
  • Support the Grants Manager in gathering all necessary information from relevant departments to complete donor reports, as required per grant.
  • Assist the Grants Manager with the drafting of sub agreements and amendments with partners in accordance with RI and donor regulations.
  • Ensure grants maintain up to date understanding of necessary donor and RI requirements throughout the lifetime of the grant.
  • Contribute to the team’s efforts, and RI’s partners, to follow and uphold RI’s policies and procedures for the project duration, upholding RI’s key policies and principles as a humanitarian organisation.
  • Support the Grants Manager and other heads of departments in the development of strong proposals.

Reporting Support:

  • Support the writing, review and editing of program reports and other documents for submission to donors.
  • Research and provide overall support during the proposal development process
  • Conduct internal desk reviews and document lessons learned to support reporting and proposal development.
  • Complete routine administrative duties as assigned.

Communications Support:

  • Serve as a key contributor to the production and design of communications, working with program staff and RI’s regional office to help finalise and produce materials for external and donor use.
  • Assist in the gathering of key program data to contribute to materials and information needed as requested by HQ.
  • Assist with maintaining RI Lebanon’s country snapshot profile and help prepare stories and information to benefit the country office team.

  • Consistent with RI’s safeguarding and protection policies, ensure all people who come into contact with Relief International are as safe as possible.

  • Ensure that gender equity is addressed in our staffing and programming

Direct reporting, dotted line work coordination and external coordination

  • The Job Holder reports directly to the Grants Manager.
  • Under the supervision of the Grants Manager, the Job Holder will coordinate closely with internal support departments as needed.
