Position Summary: The Household Liaison Officer will be responsible for conducting scheduled household visits for referral cases in coordination with WFP targeting a specific number of households on a monthly basis. Household Liaison Assistants should demonstrate a high level of cultural sensitivity and professionalism while engaging with the beneficiary families. All activities and tasks should be implemented in alignment with the training provided regarding communication skills and the Nutrition Awareness Sessions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In alignment with the work plan set by the Program Officer regarding the component of the Household Visits, the following will be implemented:
The Job holder will ensure that the scheduled household visits are conducted and implemented in alignment with what he/she had been trained on regarding communication skills, Nutrition Awareness Sessions and the way they should approach and engage with the beneficiary families; any gaps in performance (whether technical or behavioral) effecting the progress and quality of implementation should be immediately reported to the Program Officer;
Answer any questions and inquiries related to nutrition, food utilization and hygiene during the visits and provide needed information regarding the beneficiaries’ access to nutrition services; the job holder will be trained to provide nutrition awareness sessions;
Collect data regarding the household visits in an effective and efficient manner via mobile tablets using GRASP software;
Ensure the timely submission of the collected data to the Data Entry Assistant in order to compile and clean the data received from the field in accordance with the GRASP software;
Act as the point of contact with the beneficiaries in order to answer any of their inquiries and questions in a highly professional manner. The job holder must demonstrate the right attitude, approach and cultural sensitivity while dealing with the beneficiaries which is in alignment with the RI’s Code of Conduct. All beneficiaries are treated with dignity and respect throughout the distribution process;
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
A solid demonstrated ability to be attentive to cultural sensitivity regarding vulnerable communities;
Detail Oriented approach;
Minimum of 1-2 professional experience working in outreach, data collection and basic data management;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in creating databases via excel;
English and Arabic fluency required;
English writing skills required;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently;
Experience working with refugee populations in emergency response context;
Willingness and ability to travel to field locations often in sensitive areas;
Sensitivity to the extremely vulnerable conditions of the target population, and ability to effectively communicate with beneficiaries and other stakeholders;
Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
