        Hygiene Promoter and Trainer   Type of Employment: Consultancy Period of Employment: 1 month; full-timer   Project: Education and WASH in 15 Public Schools in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and Tripoli   Job Description Raising awareness:      •Design hygiene promotion messages, activities, intervention processes and tools in the 15 schools where RI is implementing its Education & WASH activities. •Arrange and deliver hygiene promotion sessions to school personnel (teachers and principals), students, and parents. •Implement hygiene promotion initiatives appropriate to the context ensuring the technical and social aspects of water and sanitation programming are integrated. •Educate beneficiaries about key aspects of hygiene in a culturally appropriate manner. • Ensure all work is carried out as per the community needs. •Prepare campaigns to raise awareness about health risks resulting from poor hygienic practices in the form of establishing Hygiene Clubs in the 15 schools. Forging Relationships: •Working closely with RI’s Education Field Officers (EFOs) in order to conduct appropriate field visits to the schools. •Forging relationships with people in the community in order to get the message across. •Develop trust, tolerance and co-operation among community members. •Mobilize, motivate and encourage potential leaders to talk to their fellow community members about good hygiene practices. Assessing Risks: •Identify and assess public hygiene risks and needs. •Report areas of concern to the Education & WASH Program Manager. Reporting: •Provide weekly and monthly report to Education & WASH Program Manager on hygiene issues and program progress against work plan and program activities. •Document and share lessons learnt with RI Education & WASH Program Manager.  Qualifications:   Experience required: 1 to 2 years working in local and/or international organization is a plus Education degree: BA/BS in Public Health with a proven track of involvement in awareness raising sessions as a facilitator.   Must be fluent in English and Arabic; with the ability to write reports/training manuals in both languages in a timely and efficient manner.   Must be a Lebanese national with a valid driver’s license.
