Hygiene Promotion Assistant

Coordinates with the other program staff responsible for sector interventions on the schedule of the Hygiene Promotion activities to be conducted. Performs roll out trainings in program areas of intervention to increase awareness on Hygiene Promotion principles. Works with the host and refugee communities to incorporate Hygiene Promotion principles into the every-day activities. Conducts pre and post training evaluation tests for the targeted groups to assess their knowledge on the topics that need to be covered in coordination with the HP Team Leader. All training data is shared with the M&E Department for analysis.  Implements Hygiene Promotion activities at the field level with the different stakeholders. Establishes Hygiene Clubs upon program requirements while ensuring the active and effective participation of the targeted groups. Ensures sustainable Hygiene Promotion procedures are set in place. Uses Hygiene Promotion awareness posters and brochures to raise awareness on personal and environmental hygiene in the field and makes sure these are put in visible places for beneficiaries to see. Uses Hygiene Promotion awareness brochures to raise awareness on healthy habits and personal hygiene at the community level. Suggests and implements creative ideas and techniques to promote for Hygiene awareness within the targeted communities. Trains other concerned field staff on enhanced HP practices and techniques and makes sure these are enforced as part of their daily tasks. Provides progress reports to the HP Team Leader on a weekly basis. Collects the number of beneficiaries benefitting from the HP activities.  All data must be segregated and shared with the M&E Department.   Directly reports any security / field / office Incidents to the HP Team Leader. Abides by Relief International Sexual Exploitation & Abuse Policy, and the Drug Free Work Place Statement, and the Child Protection Policy. Performs other work-related duties as discussed and agreed upon with the HP Team Leader and the Program manager.
