Hygiene Promotion - Project Coordinator

Position Summary: The Hygiene Promotion Coordinator will be responsible for a team of Hygiene Promotion Team Leaders and Hygiene Promotion Assistants implementing HP activities in Relief International's Multi Sector Program (Education - Health & Nutrition - Protection / SGBV) and for the transmission of key Hygiene messages to the host & refugee beneficiaries and their communities.   The Hygiene Promotion Coordinator will be under the direct supervision of the Education Program Manager and will report directly to him.   The tasks will include but not be limited to:   Directly supervises the Hygiene Promotion intervention within the multi sector program approach. Guides the Hygiene Promotion Teams in building on RI’s existing Hygiene Promotion materials to design a Hygiene Promotion training of trainers. Trains the Hygiene Promotion Team Leaders on Hygiene Promotion principles. Follows up on the various activities to be conducted by the Hygiene Promotion Teams in the different program components within the Multi Sector approach. Supervises the work of the Hygiene Promotion Teams as discussed and agreed upon with the Education Program Manager and follows up on their performance.  Follows up on the achievements of the Hygiene Promotion Teams by collecting their weekly updates from the field. Makes sure that Hygiene Promotion principles are incorporated into the multi sector program approach being implemented in the field. Conducts field visits to the different program areas to monitor the work of the Hygiene Promotion Teams. Regularly meets with the HP Team Leaders for updates and to address implementation challenges. Trains the Hygiene Promotion Team Leaders on using the Hygiene Promotion awareness posters and brochures to raise awareness on personal and environmental hygiene at the field and community levels. Refers to the Education Program Manager on any decision making steps or any modifications that need to be taken regarding the implementation process. Suggests and implements creative ideas and techniques to promote for Hygiene awareness within the field and the community. Participates in HP Working Groups at the national level in collaboration with other organizations, donors & service providers. Accompanies the Education Program Manager for field visits upon needed. Provides progress reports to the Education Program Manager on a daily and weekly basis. Collects all data pertaining to the HP indicators and segregates the data per the requests of the Monitoring & Evaluation Department.  All data pertaining to the number of HP beneficiaries reached, number of HP activities implemented, and the progress of trainings/awareness sessions conducted is collected, segregated, and shared with the M&E Department.  Prepares the final report on the Hygiene Promotion intervention within the multi sector approach after gathering necessary data from the HP Teams. Directly reports any security / field / office Incidents to the Education Program Manager. Abides by Relief International Sexual Exploitation & Abuse Policy, and the Drug Free Work Place Statement, and the Child Protection Policy. Other program related tasks as agreed upon with the Education Program Manager.
