  1. Nursing Care
  • Collect patients’ medical history, presence of allergies, medication taken at home
  • Check the patients’ vital signs before meeting the doctor
  • Conduct non communicable diseases and malnutrition screening
  • Assist the Head Nurse, Medical Doctor and/or other medical staff in the PHCC in order to ensure the highest quality of care possible for PHCC
  • Provide vaccines if requested by Head Nurse in accordance with MOPH protocol
  • Report on MOPH Health Information System (HIS) and RI reporting mechanisms per the required deadlines
  • Ensure continuous infection prevention and control, including sterilization of medical utensils, waste management, disinfection of consultation rooms
  • Ensure respect of patients’ safety and confidentiality
  1. General Administrative Support
  • Register the patients at the PHCC
  • Record basic information on individual patient health for the file (administrative part: name, address, phone number (if available), age, sex, and status - resident/refugee.)
  • Provide receipts/ handle payments of patients at the PHCC in accordance with the RI and PHCC systems
  • Assist on any ad-hoc tasks as required by PHCC and RI management
  • Attend trainings organized by MOPH, RI, or any other external organization

 work coordination (Direct Reporting, Dotted Line work coordination and interdepartmental)

 

 

  • The job holder reports directly to the Public Health Officer for follow up, supervision and segregation of tasks and duties in alignment with the work plans and timeframes, with dotted line work relation with the PHCC Head Nurse for all tasks taking place within the PHCC on a day-to-day basis;

 

Decision making

 

  • The Job Holder can take decisions solely related to her/his nursing tasks in alignment with standard professional norms of the nursing sector in Lebanon; any decisions beyond her/his realm or responsibility should be discussed with the Head Nurse of the PHCC and/or coordinated with the Program Manager as relevant to the situation;

Operating Environment                                             

 

  • The Job holder will be working from the designated MOPH PHCC in Arsal, Bekaa, Lebanon, reporting on a daily basis to the PHCC and per the working hours of the PHCC.
