      RELIEF INTERNATIONAL – Lebanon   Job description     Position                            Social Worker for PSS services (Part time job, paid on daily basis)   Reports to:                      Team Leader of Social Workers/Project Manager   Location:                         Multiple locations in Lebanon   About RI:          Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programs bridging relief and development currently seeks Social Worker for PSS services (Part time job, paid on daily basis) for RI’s health and nutrition programming in Lebanon in response to the Syria crisis.     Position Summary:   The Social Worker for PSS services will be responsible for provision of basic PSS for the target population as needed integrated in the services being offered through nutrition and health activities The Social Worker for PSS services will be responsible for planning and implementation of PSDS activities on household and community levels in RI’s health and nutrition operation area in Lebanon, focusing on Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities. They will also ensure basic PSS consultations to beneficiaries to address underlying distress detected by the mobile teams and through the PHC clinics.   Responsibilities:   To attend training  to detect more serious forms of distress and other mental health conditions and refer them to focused and or in extreme cases specialized care and support to ABAD centers. Ensure that children with malnutrition have access to mental and psychosocial support services Offer integrated basic PSS and improve access to MHPSS services for the target population as needed  in 48 localities Perform basic PSS consultations to beneficiaries to address underlying distress, particularly to children under five and pregnant/lactating women in their designated locations Coordinate and collaborate with mobile team leader and PHC in implementing basic PSS consultations to beneficiaries Ensure liaison with existing community structures, groups and individuals, eg TBAs, women groups, CBDs, religious leaders where possible. Collect and track weekly data at community level, including the results of basic PSS consultations to beneficiaries during house-to-house visits, in accordance with RI standard  statistical reporting forms Submit weekly  reports to the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer on  (a)# of children accessing PSS activities; (b) # of children accessing specialized PSS services Conduct regular home visits for the severely malnourished children to ensure that all malnourished children are receiving basic PSS consultations to beneficiaries to address underlying distress  due to malnutrition Report any problems in a timely manner to the supervisor Participate in the field work of the nutrition survey (impact assessment) Perform any additional duties as requested by supervisor, such as to assist RI mobile team during regular visits to the location:   -            To perform screening of the nutritional status under five children and pregnant/lactating women   -            To participate in mass campaigns conducted by RI     QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS   Secondary school certificate Share the humanitarian mission of the organization Good communication skills Ability to communicate with vulnerable populations Proven experience in related field Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team Accuracy and promptness in performing duties English writing and speaking skill preferred   Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications, will be paid on daily rate, according to number of days worked.   Application Procedure: To be considered for this recruitment, please submit a cover letter, resume, salary history, 3 professional supervisory references (whom we may contact after interview) with the date of availability to lebanonrihr@ri.org Incomplete applications will not be considered.  The email subject line MUST include the following to be considered: “Psychosocial Worker – Lebanon”
