Referral Nurse - Bekaa

  • Receive referrals related to vulnerable individuals raising issues in accessing health care and provide them with the best opportunity to connect/seek timely health care services at health facilities.
  • Provide needed assistance to the targeted beneficiaries and make necessary and timely referrals to primary health care centers and to specialized health care services (e.g., referral to hospitals including psychiatric admission, admission due to severe malnutrition, emergency obstetric care, and others) and referral to other assistance for non-Health related services whenever needed, respecting confidentiality and the right of the beneficiary/patient who need medical care.
  • Follow up on the referred cases to ensure their access to the needed services.
  • Provide informal one to one awareness sessions to referred beneficiaries on several topics if needed, such as, but not limited to, non-communicable diseases, IYCF, and waterborne diseases and hygiene.
  • Follow on the environmental issues received and ensure a coordinated joint efforts/ action plan between MoPH ESU, WASH and Health actors in the areas of responsibilities. 
  • Ensure timely reporting of the activities to the supervisor and by using RAIS for individual cases, according to the health counseling lines, and filling out the excel sheet for the reporting/follow up of environmental health events
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
