Business Development and Procurement Trainer

The René Moawad Foundation (RMF), under the Access to Market Booster for Women Small and Medium Enterprises program, is seeking a Business Development and Procurement trainer for a period of three months on a task basis remuneration. 

Under the umbrella of the MGF, IFC is launching the “Access to Market (A2M) Booster for Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSME)”, a technical hub that the International Finance Corporation (IFC) - a member of the World Bank Group (WBG) will design, establish and manage.

The A2M Booster will deliver several activities to WSMEs (i.e. export readiness training, procurement readiness training, peer-to-peer support networking events, buyer matchmaking event). The objective of this A2M Booster is to build the capacity and ability of these WSMEs to position their products and services for exporting to regional and global markets and aims to improve their access to local markets via local expansion and scale up. The A2M Booster is assisted by regional / global buyer companies. These sponsors will share their expertise with the SME-participants and serve as an entry point for new markets and networks for participating WSMEs. 
 
What we are looking for:

•    Diagnostic Assessment for Business Advisors (BAs) and Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) on both Business Development and Procurement topics
•    Develop curriculum for Business Development and procurement
•    Conduct 6 days training for WSMEs (2 days training for 3 groups of WSMEs, in total 75 WSMEs)
•    1 additional day training (for 25- 30 BAs if needed: 4 hours)
•    Submit a final report summarizing results of the activities, lessons learnt and recommendations based on reviews of trainees. 
•    Collaborate and report to project team leader
 
All trainings and meetings are conducted online (no need for transportation fees). He/ She has to have access to good internet and he/ she has to save all conducted trainings.
 
Qualifications: 

•    Preferably advanced university degree in Business Development, Business Management or a highly relevant field of study.
•    Minimum 10 years of professional experience especially in the field of business start-up, development and/or management; livelihood and income generation programs.
•    At least 5 years of experience in the development and implementation of business development or development trainings.
•    At least 5 years of experience in conducting live and online trainings on the suggested topics.
•    Excellent in English writing, presentation and public speaking (communication) skills.
•    Previous experience in the development and implementation of entrepreneurship and small-business programs 
•    Experience with experimental design & research, instructional design, or project management is a plus
•    Experience from within logistics, distribution or retail industry and export is a plus.
•    Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
•    Excellent in English writing, presentation and public speaking (communication) skills.
 

Tentative training topics will include, but not limited to the following:
•    General intro on business/ enterprise - definition, elements, development/organization, operation, establishment operational steps, etc.
•    Introduction to business development and standard business plan: Start-up capital /sources of capital, marketing plan (4Ps: product, price, place, promotion)
•    Development of a business plan (motivation, customer services, marketing, financial planning, etc.)
•    Business management, business profit and loss, and estimated balance sheet
•    Business proposal - structure/elements, organization, development
•    Submission and presentation of business proposals and bidding readiness
•    Bid submission and outsourcing
