Business expert for MINJARA project

The Rene Moawad Foundation requests your proposal for the following Business expert for MINJARA project specified in this Request for Proposal (RFP).

All offer provided should meet the specification(s) listed in the attached TOR, and include the following information for the criterion listed, which shall be used in evaluating the best bidder:

Projects description:

RMF is implementing a project in Tripoli that aims at enhancing the wood processing sector and generating sustainable income for carpenters through the Minjara platform at the Rachid Karame International Fair.

The Minjara platform is a building that includes:

1. A carpentry workshop equipped with tools and equipment needed for wood processing
2. A design lab
3. A large exhibition space
4. A large space that can be utilized for events, collective workshops

Scope of work: 

Support Minjara in:

• Creating a business plan with a 24 months’ projection on minimum income / sales needed to ensure Minjara continues to operate past January 2023.
• Calculating profit margins that should be included on each Minjara product to contribute towards financial sustainability.
• Reviewing the strategy for the operation of Minjara including activities that can be completed to boost Minjara revenue.
• Reviewing the marketing strategy plan for Minjara including local sales promotion.

Consultant Requirements:

1. Academic Qualifications: A master degree in economics, marketing, or any relevant field
2. Years of experience: A minimum of 7 years in of experience in the relevant field
3. Technical experience: Previous similar experience in consultancies and training experiences and business planning
4. Competencies:

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic (French is a plus).
• Good knowledge in preparing timely reports on progress of the work.
• Valid driving license.
• Willingness to travel to site of work.

The consultant should provide his Curriculum Vitae and portfolio.

The consultant is requested to present a methodology for this intervention.
