Orthopedic Doctor

Project Purpose

Access to quality education remains limited for children with disabilities and special educational needs, particularly in vulnerable communities between Tripoli and Minnieh-Denniyeh area. The project Dirasa implemented by the Rene Moawad Foundation is implementing a health program aimed at improving access to quality medical care for vulnerable populations.

Job Description:

The Orthopedic Doctor will support trauma and musculoskeletal care services within the project area, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based practice aligned with organizational and donor requirements. To provide comprehensive orthopedic services within RMF supported health facilities, including diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions, capacity building of local health staff, and contribution to program reporting and quality improvement initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and manage orthopedic and trauma cases.
  2. Perform surgical procedures where facilities permit.
  3. Provide emergency orthopedic care in coordination with ER teams.
  4. Develop and oversee patient rehabilitation plans.
  5. Ensure appropriate referral of complex cases.
  6. Maintain complete and accurate patient records according to RMF and donor standards.
  7. Contribute to project implementation plans and medical service strategies.
  8. Support development of clinical protocols and SOPs.
  9. Participate in medical data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  10. Ensure services align with humanitarian principles and RMF policies.
  11. Adhere to NGO Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies.
  12. Ensure infection prevention and control measures are followed.
  13. Promote patient confidentiality and medical ethics standards.
  1. Education:
  • MD degree from University.
  • Postgraduate specialization in Orthopedics (MS/DNB/Fellowship).

 

Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

 

Professional Competencies:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of orthopedic clinical experience.
  • Experience in humanitarian, emergency, or low-resource settings preferred.
  • Experience in trauma management highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical and surgical expertise.
  • Ability to work in resource-limited environments.
  • Cultural sensitivity and humanitarian commitment.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Teamwork and leadership ability.
  • Flexibility and resilience under pressure.
  1. Duration:

The implementation of individual sessions in this Project is starting March 2026 and will be ending in September 2026. Specialists and doctors is expected to deliver all the required services within this period.

 

Payment terms

The Specialist is expected to complete and submit:

  • The approved deliverable
  • Relevant invoice and timetable to be able to process the payment
