Request for the Services of a Business Consultant in Yahchouch

The Rene Moawad Foundation requests your price quotation for the following Yahchouch – Business Consultancy Services specified in this Request for Quotation (RFQ).

RMF implemented a project in Yahchouch that aims at enhancing recreational activities, encouraging tourism in Yahchouch and generating income for women and youth in Yahchouch by establishing a rural tourism/socio-cultural venue, and equipping the center for events and sale of locally produced goods

The project consists of a two-story building including:

1. A multipurpose venue for event, workshops, etc.
2. A woman artisanal workshop
3. A gym
4. WC and kitchen
5. A display area

Scope of work

Support the municipality in:

• setting a strategy for the operation of the center
• costing of activities and budgeting
• setting the plan of activities for a whole year to make sure that the center is sustainable (activities for all ages)
• updating the feasibility study of the project
• setting a marketing strategy/promotion plan for the center
• including community members that produce home made products/art/crafts
• planning markets, fairs and festivals

Consultant Requirements

1. Academic Qualifications: A master degree in economics, marketing, or any relevant field
2. Years of experience: A minimum of 7 years in of experience in the relevant field
3. Technical experience: previous similar experience in consultancies and training experiences and business planning
4. Competencies:

• Fluent in Writing and spoken English and Arabic (French is a plus).
• Good Knowledge in preparing timely reports on progress of the work.
• Computer literate.
• Valid driving license is a must.
• Willing to travel to site of work.

The consultant should provide his Curriculum Vitae and portfolio.

The consultant is requested to present a methodology for this intervention taking into consideration that the intervention should be a cumulative for a maximum of 5 working days.

All quotes provided should meet the specification(s) listed in the attached TOR, and include the following information for the criterion listed, which shall be used in evaluating the best bidder:

• Project Time frame

Validity of Quotes

Quotes submitted shall remain open for acceptance for a minimum of 60 days from the last date specified for receipt of quotes. The selected Bidder(s) shall supply the amounts of goods requested at the quoted prices for the delivery/performance period specified in this RFQ.

Basis of Selection

Bidders should provide their lowest competitive quotes. All Bidders will be notified in writing should there be a significant change to the listed requirements. A Contract will be issued to the responsible Bidder that is judged to be most advantageous to RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION in terms of quality of service, delivery schedule and cost. RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION may accept any item or group of items of a bid. RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION reserves the right to make an award on any item for a quantity less than the quantity stated, at the unit prices quoted.

RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION may reject any quote that is determined to be nonresponsive. A responsive quote is one that complies with all terms and conditions of the RFQ. A quote must be complete, signed by an authorized signatory and delivered no later than the submission time and date indicated on the first page of this RFQ. RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION may reserve the right to waive any minor discrepancies in a quote.

This RFQ does not legally obligate RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION to award a contract. RENE MOAWAD FOUNDATION reserves the right to fund/award any or none of the submitted quotes. No commitment is made, either expressed or implied, to compensate Bidders for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of their quotes.
