Admin and Finance Officer

The Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking an Admin and Finance Officer under the “Enhancing the Tripoli furniture industry for driving economic growth” project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Expertise France.

This project comes as a 24 months’ extension to the Private Sector Development Programme (PSD-P), particularly the wood processing component, and the work that was previously done by Expertise France between 2017 and 2019 which resulted in the establishment and operation of Minjara both the furniture brand and the platform (as a business support hub for all the carpenters of Tripoli). RMF and its consortium of partners are seeking to further elaborate Minjara to achieve sustainability of both the Minjara entity and management team.

 

Position summary

The Admin and finance officer is responsible to undertake a variety of day-to-day office tasks.

He/ she is, above all, an organized and competent professional with phenomenal communication skills.

He/she will be comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out administrative duties with accuracy and speed.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Maintain files and records with effective filing systems
  • Support other teams with various administrative tasks (redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.)
  • Greet and assist visitors when they arrive at the platform
  • Monitor office expenditures and handle all office contracts (rent, service etc.)
  • Perform basic bookkeeping activities
  • Managing the social media & communication of the platform

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Reliable with patience and professionalism
  • Bachelor in business administration or relevant field
  • Knowledge and experience in managing social media is a plus
