DRIVER - Bekaa

The Rene Moawad Foundation is seeking a driver in Bekaa.

Essential responsibilities and duties:

• Drive team as required.
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents to the appropriate authority.
• Ensure that all assigned vehicles are clean at all times.
• Maintain a Non Smoking policy in vehicles at all times.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Check vehicles regularly, to make sure any necessary general repairs are carried out as required.
• Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, transportation / vehicle related expenditures.
• Maintain vehicle Equipment (fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit...)
• Safely transport passengers or goods to various destinations as assigned.

 Knowledge and Skills

• High school diploma / Secondary education, academic or technical.
• Excellent verbal communication Good Command of Arabic; Working knowledge of English and/or French.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate effectively with Program Manager, Area Manager, staff and visitors
• Ability to function well as part of a team
• Diligent attention to detail
• Diligent attention to safety 
• Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours and non-working days when needed
• Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation
• Proven experience as a driver.
• Good knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• High degree of punctuality and reliability.
•  Tidy appearance, courtesy, discretion and a high level of trustworthiness are essential personal attributes
• Possess a polite and friendly attitude and handle his/her passengers with utmost respect.

 Experience

• Valid Driver's license (عمومي)
• At least 3 years Proven experience as a Manual Shift Driving
• Strong experience in donors –funded projects
• Work experience in more than one location or area of work.
• Two years of relevant experience in driving functions with flawless, safe driving record.
• Experience with Local or International NGO is desirable 
• National of Lebanon
• Maximum age of 45 years
