Environmental Consultant

REPORTS TO:         Deputy Program Director/Senior Technical manager Position summary The Environmental Consultant will be responsible for the environmental assessment and evaluation of the shortlisted Municipal projects submitted to RMF/BALADI. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Reviewing the applications submitted to RMF BALADI and visiting the projects site. Assessing the environmental impact of the municipal project’s activities Making sure that the activities of the shortlisted projects are in compliance with USAID and Lebanese environmental regulations Developing environmental analysis report for the shortlisted applications. Assisting  the team in developing a draft Environmental Review and Assessment Checklist (ERAC) and  Environmental mitigation and Monitoring plan (EMMP) for selected projects   Qualifications and skills required: Technical analysis and reporting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of USAID and Lebanese Environmental Regulations. Strong communication skills. Bachelor degree in Environment or related field- A master’s degree is a plus. At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Assessment.
