Facility & Machinery Manager

Project Brief:

The Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking a Minjara Facility & Machinery Manager under the “Enhancing the Tripoli furniture industry for driving economic growth” project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Expertise France.

This project comes as a 24 months extension to the Private Sector Development Programme (PSD-P), particularly the wood processing component, and the work that was previously done by Expertise France between 2017 and 2019 which resulted in the establishment and operation of Minjara both the furniture brand and the platform (as a business support hub for all the carpenters of Tripoli). RMF and its consortium of partners are seeking to further elaborate Minjara to achieve sustainability of both the Minjara entity and management team.

Tasks:

The Facility & Machinery Manager will:

• Revise workshop schedule daily.
• Manage production and ensure all projects are following the deadlines.
• Assist in project pricing.
• Draft safety measures for machines and equipment usage.
• Carry out day-to-day maintenance of the equipment for optimal working conditions.
• Maintain a tidy/clean and safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of consumables and parts.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance and operations of manufacturing applications.
• Ensure the daily operations of the workshop and the implementation of projects.
• Train users in equipment operations.
• Supervise and manage the workflow of carpenters in the workshop.
• Provide training for the equipment and the machines.
• Booking and access to the workshop.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer controlled technologies and the software used to manage those technologies.
• Knowledge of carpentry tools and machinery.
