Field Coordinator in Mount Lebanon

The project aims at:

  • Lebanese and Syrian refugee women gain strengthened capacities to integrate into market value chains according to the Lebanese labor law.
  • Women-led businesses and cooperatives have improved productivity and competitiveness and increased access to assets, spurring innovation and addressing unfavorable resource control and ownership dynamics.
  • Municipalities unions of municipalities have increased skills, knowledge, and means to be more actively involved in local economic development and are implementing interventions to support women economic empowerment.
  • Public support increased and an enabling environment enhanced for women's economic empowerment at household, community, business, and municipal levels.

 

Under this project, RMF is seeking to recruit a Field Coordinator in Mount Lebanon Governorate (Precisely: Baabda, Aley, Chouf, Jbeil).

As women constitute the project primary target audience and objective, it is crucial that each targeted entity whether a municipality, a cooperative, SME, and/or local community members at large, is fully aware of the project messages

The Field Coordinator will be the primary contact between target beneficiaries, communities, partners of the consortium, RMF Experts and the Project Director.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and communicate with communities and stakeholders
  • Organize training and workshop sessions for target communities
  • Facilitate and animate Community-level meetings
  • Develop weekly work plans, and report, including daily field report
  • Ensure proper implementation of project activities in accordance with projects’ work plans
  • Develop news highlight
  • Conduct exercises for Community selection
  • Design activities  on local development
  • Undertake Procurement tasks
  • Draft MOUs
  • Identify dynamics about key issues
  • Identify challenges in communities
  • Review and analyses of literatures
  • Develop fieldwork activity plan
  • Organize and facilitate community level meetings
  • Undertake assessment exercises on community level
  • Mapping stakeholders
  • Write success stories and weekly highlights
  • Other tasks as directed by the supervisors

Education, Experience and Skills

- At least 2 years of experience in Project coordination and reporting
- Graduate degree or equivalent bachelor degree
- Strong experience in donors –funded projects
- Experience in working with public institutions preferable
- Experience reporting on project activities (required) as well as research and data collection (required)
- Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent English and Arabic reporting and writing skills is a must
- Is not bound by current thinking or traditional approaches; able to navigate bureaucratic obstacles
- Shows willingness to learn from others; seeks feedback to learn and improve
- Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
- Living in relevant governorate (Mount Lebanon)
- Mobilized.
