Focused Psycho-Social Support Facilitator

The René Moawad Foundation has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries.  Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours).  Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training.  All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate FPSS sessions with children and adolescents.
  • Attend training and capacity building opportunities
  • Plan and prepare logistics for FPSS activities
  • Full coordination with the project coordinator to ensure proper implementation of the project. Plan, organize and run activities with adolescents while facilitate and encourage their participation
  • Ensure activities run in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
  • Ensure that children and adolescents are all involved in the activity
  • Deal with difficult behaviors (conflict, aggressiveness, introversion) and understand the reason behind the behavior to positively communicate with the situation.
  • Ensure Children under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of Harm or stress during the activities
  • Collect data on the activities organized and ensure that all the relevant forms are duly filled
  • Identify key protection issues or threats affecting children and adolescents and raise them to the project officer
  • Refer protection and GBV cases to the social worker of the project
  • Ensure all project means of verifications (MOV) including attendance sheets, pre posttests, evaluation documents… are in place.
  • Fill and archive specific forms for referrals and weekly reporting, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness.

All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must have skills in working with children and adolescents.
  • High integrity in social interactions.
  • Two -years work experience in implementing recreational activities, focused psychosocial activities with children and adolescents.
  • Strong strategic thinking and report writing skills.
  • Strong leadership, program, and staff management and capacity building skills.
  • Experience in working in group.
  • Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, ability to improvise, team player.
  • Ability to productively work under pressure while maintaining a sense of humor.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
