The project aims at:
- Lebanese and Syrian refugee women gain strengthened capacities to integrate into market value chains according to the Lebanese labor law.
- Women-led businesses and cooperatives have improved productivity and competitiveness and increased access to assets, spurring innovation and addressing unfavorable resource control and ownership dynamics.
- Municipalities unions of municipalities have increased skills, knowledge, and means to be more actively involved in local economic development and are implementing interventions to support women economic empowerment.
- Public support increased and an enabling environment enhanced for women's economic empowerment at household, community, business, and municipal levels.
Under this project, RMF is seeking to recruit Outreach Officer(s) who will assist in the selection of the beneficiaries and communication with stakeholders involved in the project. As women constitute the project primary target audience and objective, it is crucial that each targeted entity whether a municipality, a cooperative, SME, and/or local community members at large, is fully aware of the project messages. The outreach officer is responsible to conduct outreach and community dialogue activities in the selected governorates (North and Mount Lebanon).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify potential beneficiaries to the relevant project as per the set criteria (including vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian women, Women Cooperatives, Start-ups, etc.)
- Conduct outreach and community dialogue activities
- Assist in social assessment
- Make regular visits to stakeholders (municipalities, unions of municipalities, communities, etc.) to assess the needs of the beneficiaries targeted by the project
- Conduct support groups and committee meetings and participate in community forums
- File and archive specific forms for referrals and weekly reporting are taking place while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor the daily ongoing activities
- Coordinate with other staff of the project
- Raise beneficiaries’ concerns and report weekly to the field coordinator
- Other tasks as directed by the project director.
Education, Experience and Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar related job.
- A bachelor degree with years of experience in fields of social work, agriculture, economics, human resources, marketing, and/or other relevant fields
- Strong experience in outreach and recruitment
- Excellent reporting, communication, interpersonal skills and pro-active negotiation skills
- Have skills in working with people of all ages and social groups
- Skilled at working with local communities and authorities
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of Arabic and English
- Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
- Living in relevant governorate (North or Mount Lebanon)

Period
- Six months starting in February 2019 (Prospective to renew the contract)
Salary
- Monthly remuneration of seven hundred (700) USD.
