Research and Reporting Officer

The Rene Moawad Foundation is seeking a Research and Reporting Officer.

JOB SUMMARY

The Research and Reporting Officer will ensure the preparation and submission of high quality project progress reports in a timely manner, through data collected from the Project Coordinator, and analyzed to highlight project impact and performance.

He/She will also be responsible for assisting the Project Development Manager in innovation and context research within the project’s sectors of operations.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Reporting

  • Develop timely and high-quality weekly, monthly, and yearly project performance reports
  • Identify and develop project performance data collection tools
  • Liaise with the Project Coordinator/Manager for data collection and project updates
  • Compile, consolidate, and analyze project related data
  • Select, manage, and acquire resources (hard copy /electronic) to meet current & anticipated needs
  • Develop and create data collection systems: templates & printouts, matrixes & databases
  • Ensure indicators’ reporting on ActivityInfo & ERS as per project requirements
  • Gather project challenges and develop a list of lessons learned
  • Define new process improvement opportunities & procedures
  • Conduct periodic field visits to validate collected data
  • Update and maintain a project activity database
  • Oversee data lifecycle: organizing, sharing, collecting, validating, archiving, storing & reporting
  • Train field staff and colleagues on reporting, data collection and data analysis

 

Research and Development

  • Liaise with the Project Development Manager to develop a research methodology
  • Conduct baseline and post-intervention impact research on key development topics, within the project’s core sectors
  • Extract context analysis from available secondary data
  • Conduct research on best innovative practices for topics related to the project’s core sectors such as innovation in community engagement, integration, and social cohesion approaches

Academic 

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in International Development, Rural Development, Data Sciences, Social Sciences, or other related fields

Related Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferably in monitoring & evaluation, project reporting, or project coordination
  • Strong knowledge of the development and humanitarian context in Lebanon
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerable community needs
  • Strong knowledge in data collection, compilation, and analysis
  • Knowledge of donor management cycle

Language skills

  • Fluent English and Arabic with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • French is an added value

Computer Literacy

Microsoft Office Suite, Data management software is an added value
