Project Brief:
The Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager under the “Enhancing the Tripoli furniture industry for driving economic growth” project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Expertise France.
This project comes as a 20 months’ extension to the Private Sector Development Programme (PSD-P), particularly the wood processing component, and the work that was previously done by Expertise France between 2017 and 2019 which resulted in the establishment and operation of Minjara both the furniture brand and the platform (as a business support hub for all the carpenters of Tripoli). RMF and its consortium of partners are seeking to further elaborate Minjara to achieve sustainability of both the Minjara entity and management team.
Role:
The Sales & Marketing Manager will:
- Promote the Minjara brand and introduce its products to the market
- Present, promote and sell the Minjara products/services to existing and prospective customers
- Lead the implementation of the marketing opportunities and plans
- Identify potential new consumers and understand their requirements
- Generate new business for Minjara’s products/services
- Bring sales to the Minjara platform
- Make in-person visits and present Minjara to existing and potential customers
- Visit customers to evaluate need and promote Minjara product/services
- Gather and investigate market data
- Come up with key selling messages in line with the project’s overall strategy
- Set monthly sales targets, track them and report on them regularly
- Establish a strong network with the key furniture stakeholders and make regular visits to them
- Seek new sales opportunities and business partnerships
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within scheduled timelines
- Lead the negotiations of contracts with potential customers
- Maintain customer records
Qualification:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years' experience in marketing or sales.
- Experience in the furniture industry may be advantageous.
- Understanding and knowledge of the wood processing industry.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
