SEL Co-Facilitator

The René Moawad Foundation has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries.  Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours).  Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training.  All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.

Major Responsibilities: 
 

  • Assist the lead facilitator in planning, organizing, and delivering sessions or meetings.
  • Help prepare agendas, handouts, presentations, and other resources needed for facilitation.
  • Help manage group dynamics, encourage participation, and ensure a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Keep track of time during sessions to ensure the agenda is followed and objectives are met.
  • Handle technology, such as setting up virtual meeting platforms, audio/visual equipment, or room arrangements.
  • Take notes or record important discussion points, decisions, and action items.
  • Be ready to lead or take over facilitation duties if the lead facilitator is unavailable or requires assistance.
  • Assist with post-session tasks like distributing minutes, summarizing outcomes, and helping with feedback collection.

 

 

 

 

Professional Standards:

All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training in SEL, trauma-informed practices, or youth development a plus.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in educational or community settings.
  • Prior experience co-facilitating group sessions.
  • Familiarity with SEL frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for diverse participants.
  • Basic proficiency with technology used for virtual facilitation (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) and digital tools for presentations and communication.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
