Restart Center, in partnership with First Step Together Association, is seeking to recruit a Child Psychologist to work within a UNHCR funded project, “Educational Support to Children with Special Needs in T5.” The project aims to facilitate the integration of 150 children, between the ages of 5–11 years old, with Learning Difficulties or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder into 8 public schools. It will specifically work to improve their learning capacity and behavior through the provision of special education support and comprehensive specialized services.   The main responsibilities that are expected to be performed by the Child Psychologist, are the following: Is able to provide psychological counseling to children presenting LD or ADHD. Respects ethical and clinical considerations Is able to fill session record sheets upon each session, and write psychological evaluation reports Detects frequently seen psychological responses Knows how to interpret the psychological findings and formulate a clinical impression. Studies the psychological history of the beneficiary; Documents the signs of a possible physical or psychological abuse; To report on the child’s evolution and progress to the supervisor, as requested. To prepare and share reports to teachers, indicating their students’ situation and progress; the report will also provide classroom tips and recommendations. To collaborate with parents through meetings in order to meet goals and to evaluate the child's current level, personal areas for development, and capacities. Participate in the Team supervision sessions conducted at the center. To undergo individual supervision and follow-up sessions. To coordinate with the projects’ project coordinator, project assistant, and social workers. To coordinate with other specialists, who are following-up with the same beneficiaries. Participates in regular meetings Participates in any capacity building activities.   The main skills that are expected to be performed by the Child Psychologist, are the following: Follows Restart Center policies and by laws Believes in concepts of human rights Respects each team member’s position Able to adapt to special situations or demands from supervisor Good communication skills Bachelor’s Degree in clinical psychology Having undergone his personal therapy Experience in working with vulnerable women and children/youth with special needs. Ability to work with patients from different backgrounds (cultural, ethnic….) Excellent command of English Ability to write reports
