Community-based Psychosocial Support (CB-PSS) Psychologist - Beirut & Mount Lebanon

Job description:

• To conduct participatory assessment sessions to targeted PoCs.
• To assess the psychosocial needs of identified PoCs.
• To design a tailored community-based psychosocial support program that responds to the needs of identified PoCs.
• To provide approximately 10 CB-PSS sessions to each identified group.
• To train Outreach Volunteers (OVs) who will be responsible for co-facilitating the CBS sessions.
• To supervise the work of the OVs and provide them with needed guidance.
• To administer pre and post clinical tests in order to measure the sessions’ impact.
• To pay particular attention to those in need of individual specialized mental health services and refer them accordingly to the center.
• To closely coordinate with the health/mental health professionals at Restart Center to ensure that all services are provided in a holistic and comprehensive manner.
• To ensure continuous communication and coordination with the involved social workers (while specifying if the PoC requires services from other agencies).
• To actively participate in weekly or bi-weekly coordination meetings.
• To submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports (including completion of record sheets, checklists, narrative reports, evaluation sheets, attendance sheets, and any other information that may be requested).

Qualifications:

• A license to practice the clinical psychology profession from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health is preferred (Note: if this license is not available, the candidate must show that s/he is qualified and ready to apply for this license).
• Experience working with refugee and other vulnerable populations.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Ability to work according to Restart Center’s values and code of conduct.
• High level of flexibility and capacity to work in challenging security situations.
• Flexibility to work outside the office setting (potentially in remote areas), given that all the sessions will be community-based.
