Education Program Coordinator

Job Description The program coordinator be will be responsible in managing, organizing and implementing the project activities, in cooperation with the Project Director, in coordination with all the education full-time staff members (Social Workers, Finance Officer, etc) and part-time staff members (specialists, trainers, etc.), and in collaboration with FISTA for Special Education. The program coordinator will be responsible in developing work plans (schedules and preparations) for the project, and ensuring that project activities and outputs are delivered according to the proposed action plan. Management Responsibilities Provides direct supervision to social workers, in close coordination with the Project Director. Works with the staff members to set and monitor objectives and work plans, and provide constructive feedback on an on-going and scheduled basis.  Project Implementation and Management Collaborates with Second-Shift Public Schools, Save the Children, and with the UNHCR Health and Education unit Conducts regular visits to the field (Second-Shift Public Schools) and builds a communication plan with the school directors, to properly implement the project activities Coordinates with trainers and chairs trainings provided to public school educators, parents and outreach volunteers. Conducts meeting with the social workers, on a weekly basis, to follow-up on project challenges, public-school referrals, and in scheduling public-school reconciliation activities Conducts meetings with the specialists (psychologists, , etc.) to follow-up on the efficiency of the evaluation tools and to identify areas of intervention. Also, schedules focus group meetings between the specialists. Finally, ensures that all specialists are undergoing individual and/or group supervision Ensures that visibility of the funder is displayed within each project activity, through the following means: banners, training materials, brochures, etc. Attends and presents the general project achievements and challenges to NGOs and INGOs at UNHCR Education Working Group meetings, on a monthly basis Reports achievements, challenges and any project changes (target group, etc) to the funder Coordinates with the Finance Officer regarding the program expenditures under each project activity (in a cost effective manner while referring to the project Work Plan)   Monitoring and Evaluation Develops monitoring and evaluation tools to be used by psychologists and social workers Monitors and evaluates the execution of the programs through maintaining full and accurate records of activities using the relevant documents Develops monitoring and evaluation tools to be used during trainings, focus group meetings, and public-school reconciliation activities, in coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
