Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct 10 focus group discussions based on project objectives.
  • Facilitate structured and unbiased discussions, ensuring active participation from all respondents.
  • Ensure ethical considerations, including informed consent and a safe environment for participants.
  • Adhere to PSEA guidelines and the organization's Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Record, summarize, and report key findings from each discussion accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of participant information and collected data.
  • Collaborate with researchers, field teams, and data analysts to ensure high-quality qualitative insights.
  • Identify and report any challenges, ethical concerns, or discrepancies to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in moderating focus group discussions or qualitative research.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative data collection methods and ethical research practices.
  • Prior experience working with NGOs, humanitarian agencies, or research organizations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ethical research practices and safeguarding policies (PSEA is a must).
  • Excellent facilitation, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse groups of participants and ensure balanced discussions.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills to summarize findings.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Ability to commence work immediately.
