Psychiatrist

Center psychiatrists treat patients with moderate to serious mental and emotional disorders (including PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and adjustment disorder, among others).

Responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluating and diagnosing patients with mental health disorders referred by the team for examination and treatment.
• Providing structured clinical assessments and developing a treatment plan according to the patient’s needs.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and other medical diagnostic tests.
• Following up with patients to ensure that they are responding positively to the treatment.
• Evaluating the response to medication and the possible side effects, and modifying the treatment accordingly.
• Educating patients and their families if needed and providing information regarding the aspects of the treatment.
• Developing psychiatric reports upon request.
• Providing crisis intervention when needed.
• Providing guidance to Nurse Practitioners and other personnel assigned to work in relevant departments at Restart Center.
• Collaborating with Restart Center’s multidisciplinary team to improve patient care.
• Following ethical and legal policies, procedures and standards.
