Call for Consultancies - Staff Care Consultant

Considering the current emergency in Lebanon, we are seeking to recruit a staff care consultant to work alongside our People and Culture Specialist and provide our team with skills and techniques to better manage in emergencies.
More specifically, the consultant will provide managers and leaders with the necessary skills to identify signs of trauma, stress, and anxiety among their team members and guide them in supporting their team during crises and emergencies. This initiative is part of our commitment to staff well-being and mental health support.
Objectives
The Staff Care Consultant will:
•Equip managers and leaders with tools to identify signs of trauma, stress, and anxiety in team members.
•Provide strategies to assist team members in crisis or emergency situations.
•Offer guidance on how to manage and support staff during relocation or while working in shelters or high-pressure environments.
•Conduct one-on-one check-in sessions with team members, if needed to identify gaps and provide individual support.

Services Needed:
•Develop and deliver online training sessions for managers and leaders (around 11 participants).
•Focus on psychological first aid and crisis management in humanitarian settings.
•Provide practical tools for supporting staff, addressing trauma, anxiety, and stress in the workplace.
•To conduct individual counselling sessions with staff expressing willingness to do so, in order to support them to deal with their emotions and provide different ways to respond.
•Offer recommendations for ongoing staff care practices to ensure mental health is prioritized within teams.


Deliverables
•Develop a comprehensive online training tailored to managers and leaders
•Conduct a minimum of two online sessions for leadership and management teams.
•Offer one-on-one or small group consultations as needed following the sessions to ensure implementation of best practices
•To conduct individual counselling sessions with staff expressing willingness to do so, in order to support them to deal with their emotions and provide different ways to respond.
•Submit a comprehensive report including feedback and recommendations for tailored staff support

2. Qualifications of the consultants
Education background:
•Master’s degree in counseling, Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a related mental health field.
Essential experience:
•Minimum of 5 years working in staff care, mental health support, or psychosocial services, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
•Proven experience supporting humanitarian staff, especially those working in crisis, emergency, or relocation contexts.
Competency profile:
•Demonstrated ability to deliver mental health and staff care training to leadership teams
•Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex psychological concepts in a practical and accessible way for non-specialist audiences.

•Consultancy Fees – Indicate your overall budget – details in Annex I
•Provision of two references: the consultant must provide name, organization and contact details and a brief description of the most recent consultancies in a similar field. Each reference provided should be the client’s responsible project administrator or a senior official of the client who is familiar with the consultant’s performance and work.
