Project Brief
Beyond Games is a multi-year project aiming to strengthen children's well-being and coping abilities by equipping them with social-emotional skills. The project seeks to strengthen children well-being and ability to cope, enabling them to thrive in diverse environments through sports-based interventions that focus on building their social and emotional skills, and through addressing their psychosocial needs. Given the current context development in Lebanon, the project will be adapted to meet the emerging needs of children in Lebanon.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Project Officer (PO) and is responsible for the implementation of Right To Play project activities and providing support and guidance to the community team in using RTP tools in the project location. He/she is also responsible for monitoring the project for quality of delivery and effectiveness.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Responsibility #1: Activity Planning and Implementation (40% of time):
- Lead the project activity implementation on field and ensure proper participation of key stakeholders in the process of project planning and implementation.
- Support different trainers (teachers, facilitators, coaches) working on the project to develop their activity plans and schedules, while ensuring alignment with project plan and regular reporting to project officer.
- Organizes and conducts special events activities, and play days as per project plan
- Manages the logistical arrangements for training workshops and all events under the project
- Organizes, conducts, and facilitates training workshops conducted by other program staff and participates in the training as required
- Conducts training and, where applicable, facilitates the training sessions conducted by teacher trainers, evaluates them and reports to the Project Officer.
- Handles equipment management and distribution in the assigned community.
- Handles advance payments and manages cash money used for the activity implementation.
- Supports the assessment of needs for facility repairs and upgrades in the community, facilitates the authorized work and ensures that overall work has been completed in accordance with the approved standards.

Job Responsibility #2: Monitoring and Reporting (20% of Time):
- Conducts regular field visits to follow up and provide support as needed.
- Conducts regular visits to project implementation sites/schools and provides coaching and mentoring to coaches, Teachers, principals, educational supervisors’ youth/Junior leaders and community leaders.
- Provides narrative, qualitative and quantitative monitoring information/data to support monthly, quarterly and annual reports to update Country Office
- Provides activity report for each activity conducted to support quarterly reports.

Job Responsibility #3: Establish and Maintain Partnership (15% of Time):
- Identifies community needs, participates in the selection of communities and partners to be included in RTP program in the respective Field.
- Represents RTP in the project location and relevant forums and have regular consultations with local partners, stakeholders and key beneficiaries in the assigned community.
- Support the Project Officer in developing reports for stakeholders and key beneficiaries’ meetings in the assigned community.
- Ensures RTP activities are known by local community leaders and makes sure their involvement where necessary.
- Organizes meetings with relevant stakeholders such as teachers, coaches and parent educators to discuss on the project progress and implementations

Job Responsibility #4: Supervision and Guidance (5% of Time):
- Conducts performance assessment of coaches, teachers, and community facilitators as and where applicable
- In collaboration and consultation with partners, Project Officer, the Training Officer, or Thematic Specialists implements coaches and teachers’ professional development and peer learning approaches through community of practices and/or other existing approach according to the nature of the project.
- Ensures the delivery of professional development and peer learning approaches is aligned to existing project resources and tools.
- In collaboration and consultation with partners identifies the need of coaches and teachers and advocate it to project officer and RTP team.
- Identifies and recommends coaches and teachers for certification, where applicable.
- Identify gaps in the project implementation in the assigned community and propose solutions to Project Officer ____________________________________________________________________________________
Job responsibility #6: Compliance (10% of Time)
- Ensures all materials and tools distributed to partners, teachers, coaches, parent educators, partner schools and community are well kept and utilized for project related activities and not otherwise
- Ensures partners, coaches, and teachers fully comply with RTP Child Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies through regular assessments of project activities, trainings, and engagements, and providing support and guidance where needed.
- Identify, report, and respond to child protection concerns, and coordinate with the program safeguarding focal points to address any issues promptly.

Job responsibility #5: Financial Administration (5% of Time)
- Prepares and submits financial reports related to activity implementation and initiate the payment process of transports /other related and services provided by the suppliers related to workshop/trainings, meetings events and tournaments.
- Ensures all documents related to the project are well kept and makes sure internal documents for RTP are not shared outside without authorisation.

Job Responsibility #7: Perform Other Duties (5% of Time):

Capacity building/technical support and organizational development
EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, adult education, Business Administration and Project Management or any related discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years’ experience working in project implementation , preferably in Sports for development program , with focus on emergency and crisis settings.
- Proven experience in Sports for psychosocial support project, with 1-2 years of experience coordinating and implementing sports project in public schools preferably in crisis and emergency context.
COMPETENCIES/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Ability to confidently represent oneself and Right To Play
- Effective planning and organizing skills.
- Coaching and feedback skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong development and team-building skills
- Experience working with different partners.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of the project for development projects and PSS
- Knowledge of psychosocial support and child protection principles in Sports activities
- Computer literacy in outlook, MS word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
- Understanding of adult education principles
- Computer literacy in outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
- Effective report writing
- Understanding of child rights and child protection
- Understanding of a community-led process
LANGUAGES
- Excellent spoken and written English and local language(s). French is also required for Francophone countries.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (An Asset)
- Experience implementing a program with local populations in both rural and urban settings in emergency settings
- work experience particularly focused on sports for development projects
- Experience in training, leading workshops, and teaching
- Personal sport and activity background with coaching experience
- Holds a valid driver’s license
