Communication Officer

  • Website Development:

- Collaborate with our team to add final touches to our already developed website, and enhance user-friendliness.

- Ensure the website content is accessible and coherent in multiple languages, visually appealing, and optimized for user experience.

 

  • Content Creation:

- Develop compelling and captivating visual and written content for the film festival and other events, on various social media platforms, including blog posts, social media posts, and press releases.

- Craft engaging content that highlight the festival's mission, featured films, special events, and guest speakers, capturing the attention of film enthusiasts, filmmakers, and industry professionals.

  • Social Media Management:

-Utilize social media channels to build excitement and anticipation for the film festival and other material.

-Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, curating and creating content that increases engagement.

  • Networking:

-Coordinate with creatives, videographers, and/or graphic designers to commission the creation of a compelling and cohesive visual identity for the Film Festival’s social media launch, as well as other promotional material, such as flyers/a poster.

-Contact media organizations to ensure coverage of the event (this can include interviews, articles, etc.)

-Contact and invite relevant organizations, cultural institutions, etc. to invite them and promote the event more widely through emails.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in website development, content creation, and social media management.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content for different platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas for promotional campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Ability to take initiative; work independently and within a team.
