Each online edition, we create an opportunity for artists from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, and North Africa, as well as those living abroad to produce their work independently and accompany them along the way by offering editorial input and logistic support. For that, we are looking for a Visual Communications Designer as a new team member to develop a visual representation of Nems (“The world of Nems”: self-produced sketches to appear on our platforms), shapen our online identity and to create ads and designs for our platform. Nems is currently funded by the German political association “Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung”.
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (RLS) is a German political foundation affiliated with the German party “Die Linke” (The Left Party). RLS is a provider of civic education and a center for progressive social research. RLS Beirut Office opened its doors in May 2017 and is working in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Saudi-Arabia and Iran.

Job requirements:
- Setting up a social media plan that matches Nems content and identity.
- Follow up and plan implementation.
- Setting up dates/timeline for publishing content.
- Creating an online platform for Nems through active and interactive social media presence.
- Continuous management of Nems social media platforms: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Sound Cloud.
- Publishing or posting social media content.
- Answering questions and develop and interactive approach with online audience, while communicating with team for further information or concerns.
- Monitoring and interacting with similar online platforms in agreement with the team
- Working closely with design team for any platform/social media plan requirements.
- Regular reports and tracking of social media performance and engagement metrics.
- Closely monitoring comments and follower interactions making sure it doesn’t contradict with platform and Nems policies.
- Working closely with editorial team for brand identity on Nems social media platforms.
- Taking part and contributing in team meetings and brain storming sessions.
- Social media content development.
- Scan and collect daily news as part of the research around new ideas and suggestions.
