Content Writer

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation for Newsletter:
    • Write and edit articles, features, interviews, and updates for the organization's monthly/bi-monthly newsletter.
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant information and success stories to feature in the newsletter.
    • Ensure the content is engaging, informative, and aligns with the organization’s tone and style.
    • Work with the design team to ensure the visual presentation complements the written content.
  2. Website Content Development:
    • Create and update website content, including news updates, project descriptions, descriptive videos, and other web pages as needed.
    • Optimize website content for SEO to increase visibility and engagement.
    • Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and reflects the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
    • Work closely with the web development team to implement content changes and improvements.
  3. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the Head of Marketing and Communications and other team members to plan content schedules and meet deadlines.
    • Liaise with other departments to ensure that the content aligns with current projects, initiatives, and organizational goals.
    • Attend regular meetings with the Communication Department to discuss progress, receive feedback, and adjust content strategies as needed.
  4. Content Strategy Support:
    • Assist in developing a content strategy that supports the organization’s overall communication goals.
    • Provide input on content formats, platforms, and distribution channels to maximize reach and impact.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Proofread and edit all content to ensure high standards of quality, including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
    • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and messaging across all content.
  6. Reporting:
    • Provide weekly progress reports to the Head of Marketing and Communication.

Document and report on the performance of the newsletter and website content, including engagement metrics and reader feedback.
