Objective:
The program director provides day- to-day leadership for the local development operations, and is responsible for the efficient accomplishment of administrative, financial and technical tasks
Main responsibilities:
-Reviews annual work plans and budgets presented by the Financial Manager, the Grants and Assistance Compliance Manager, and Senior Technical Manager
- Presents such plans to the consortium and seek thir formal approval
- Reviews periodically the overall performance of the operations and reports on a quaterly basis to the consortium
- Represents the PMU to external agencies and individuals both nationally and internationally
- Seek fresh sources of funds, and establish strong donor relationships
- Recommends improvements to make the PMU more efficient
Qualifications:
- At least 15 years of experience in related field
- Vast knowledge about and experience in the status, challenges and opportunities of municipalities in Lebanon
- Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic, French is a plus
- Excellent reporting, communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in implementing USAID programs
- Directed, managed, implemented and evaluated large projects; and
- Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with USAID and local community leaders
