Research And Development Assistant - Project Development Unit

Research - Assists the unit and contributes to the strategic plan of Safadi foundation and sectors - Assists in the development of long term strategies for Safadi Foundation including fundraising, partnerships and networking - Assists in implementing fundraising and partnerships strategies in close coordination with senior project development officer and GM - Conducts research, analyses and designs tools to identify fundraising priorities and opportunities in close coordination with senior project development officer - Compiles information on economic and development trends at a national and regional scale - Assists in identifying and researching potential donors and partners and conducting eligibility studies - Ensures the timely and accurate data collection of donors and partners - Maintains accurate and up to date information on funding and partner's trends - Prepares questionnaires and interview questions and conduct field interviews if needed:  Maintains accurate records of interviews, safeguards the confidentiality of subjects as necessary  Prepares, presents and disseminates research finding, both orally and in writing to relevant staff Conducts literature interviews, collects and analyses data Proposals  - Assists in assessing the feasibility of funding opportunities with relevant sectors and in preparing the proposal process - Acquires detailed information regarding project proposals and submission criteria and guidelines - Assists in drafting, coordinating, editing and supporting the quality assurance of concept notes, proposals and project amendments in line with identified needs and funding opportunities - Prepares materials for the project development unit review - Tracks project proposal submissions with donors - Ensures all project information is regularly updated in Safadi Foundation systems Networking - Builds and maintains realtions with partners - Attends sector working groups and other external meeting if necessary with partners and key stakeholders - Maintains accurate minutes of meetings - Represents the Foundation in external meetings and conferences if assigned - Drafts external letters if assigned - Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with departments and sectors
