Main Responsibilities:
- Proposes design and carry out through 9 local development officers: research and analysis of key trends and changes in Socio-economic structure and related issues (social policy, population, migration, youth, family, ageing, disability, poverty..) at union and municipal levels
- Desings and organises development programs based on the local development officers' needs assessment
- Assess implications and develop proposals with respect to the social development programs
- Plan expert group meetings and workshops including identification and selection of participants
- Liaises and partners with organisations (civil society and NGO's, the United Nations, Chamber of Commerce, Associations..) as to discuss, gather the latest information, and assess relevant policy developments
- Provides substantive assistance in the formulation and implementation of projects especially related to socio-economic development\
- Assist in matters concerning work program and budget, and the administration of day-to-Day operations
Qualifications:
- 12 years experience in local development
- Strong, hands-on, management stylr
- Relevant experience with Socio economic development programs
- Strong training andor consulting background
- Highly motivated with leadership qualities, and the ability to work with teams
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
