Managing Director

1.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Job Summary Sakker El Dekkene’s Managing Director plays a key role in motivating and managing the team, participating in setting up and executing the strategy of the NGO while ensuring its long-term sustainability. The Managing Director reports to the Executive Committee. He / She also works closely with the team: Managers, Interns and Volunteers. He / she is a source of motivation, guidelines, task management. He/ She also supervises the conception and implementation of events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1)      Participate with the Executive team in setting the strategy of the NGO and then reflecting the strategy into concrete actions by          managing and coordinating the activities and projects of the NGO 2)      Planning and reporting activities to the Executive team following an agreed format 3)      Communicate and report financial expenses on a weekly basis to the Executive Committee 4)      Supervise and motivate the team, trainees and volunteers to ensure quality of deliverables and respect of deadlines (or                  maintain a calendar of activities with deliverables and deadlines and ensure all stakeholders respect this calendar) 5)      Ensure all online assets (website, mobile app) are updated and relevant to the message of the NGO 6)      Supervise social media communication and ensure it is in line with the strategy of the NGO 7)      Ensure all assets and materials of the NGO are well preserved and used efficiently 8)      Communicate with media when relevant, and in coordination with the Executive Committee 9)      Create a network of relationship with external stakeholders (schools, universities, administration, lawyers, other NGOs) that            will help the performance of the NGO 10)    With the help and the coordination of the Executive Committee, raise funds for specific projects and for the operating                     activities of the NGO 11)    Extensive knowledge about the Lebanese Public Administration and the Lebanese Law 12)    Good Public Relations 13)    Extensive knowledge about corruption, its tools and means 14)    Good Researcher 2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master degree in Business, Political Sciences or Law from a reputed University PhD is a plus Skills: Excellent writing skills Communication skills Leadership skills Values similar to the ones of SED (Integrity,courage, transperancy) Believes in the necessity of engagement and change Excellent Arabic writing skills is a must Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in NGOs or international organizations Competencies: Problem-Solving and Decision Making Planning skills Drive for Results Leading and developing people Industry focus Cultural Awareness Planning/Organizing Creativity/Innovation Socially confident
