Salam LADC supports vulnerable populations in Lebanon through providing direct aid, running various projects and facilitating the efforts and initiatives of independent volunteers and organizations. We provide a platform for international volunteers, grassroots initiatives, and private and institutional donors to coordinate their efforts towards assisting and empowering refugee and other vulnerable populations across Lebanon, whilst also serving as a link to the major local and international actors.
Salam LADC is looking for an experienced English teacher to teach children Arabic for grades 1-4.
School location: Saadnayel, Zahle.
Duration: 2 months starting mid July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured english literacy lessons tailored to early grade levels based on the Lebanese curriculum
- Prepare and evaluate classroom assessments (homework, quizzes, and exams)
- Monitor and track student progress, providing additional support as needed
- Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet the individual learning needs of students
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and project staff to ensure educational quality
- Classroom management and organize educational activities.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in English literature, education, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience teaching English to young students (Grades 1–4)
- Familiarity with non-formal or remedial education approaches is an asset
