Field Coordinator

Job Title: Field Coordinator  Main Function: Salam LADC is implementing partner with UNICEF for a Small Scale Funding Agreement. Focusing on a community based health awareness model, in which we will be providing important information on IYCF and vaccinations. Done so through our mobile bus and larger interactive events.  Role and Responsibilities:  • Coordinate operations in the field for both community health nurses.  • Assist in organizing relevant locations for holding the community health sessions, both small scale and large scale.  • Ensure safety protocols are always followed and all SOPs are met.  • Liaise with local authorities, leaders within the informal settlements and relevant military  • Communicate any issues noted in the field to the program manager immediately  • Ensure that operations are well planned, to increase efficiency and productiveness.   • Provide oversight and guidance when interacting with International Volunteers  • Work collaboratively with all staff and volunteers.  • Handle any issues, discreetly, and confidentially as they arise, to create a positive environment and dynamic amongst the volunteers and staff.  • Adhere to all Salam policies and procedures • Ensure that all equipment and resources are accounted for and in working condition.  Essential Criteria: • Background/degree within safety and security  • Experience working with the refugee population, specifically within the ITSs  • Knowledge of the local area and its population • Ability to stay calm under pressure  • Local Lebanese • Valid driver’s license  Desirable: • Experience working within an NGO setting • Relevant experience of 1-2 years • Fluent in Arabic, Good grasp of English  Location: • Central and West Bekaa, and Hasbiya  Duration:  • 2 months (June, July and August, 2017) Salary: • $650/month
