Health Field Worker

Job Title: Health Awareness Field Worker Main Function: Salam LADC is implementing partner with UNICEF for a Small Scale Funding Agreement. Focusing on a community based health awareness model, in which we will be providing important information on IYCF and vaccinations. Done so through our mobile bus and larger interactive events.  Role and Responsibilities:  • Deliver health awareness sessions on both a small scale and within larger public events.  • Lead discussion groups that fuel discussion and provide long term engagement. • Provide material that is provided by relevant sources and maintain a message that is consistent and accurate.  • Complete comprehensive daily reports that reflect the target reached, barriers, successes and further improvements.  • Provide oversight and guidance when interacting with International Volunteers  • Work collaboratively with all staff and volunteers.  • Handle any issues, discreetly, and confidentially as they arise, to create a positive environment and dynamic amongst the volunteers and staff.  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times • Adhere to all Salam policies and procedures • Ensure that all equipment and resources are accounted for and in working condition.  Essential Criteria: • Background/degree within health sciences (nurse, midwife, nutritionist, etc…) • Experience working with the refugee population • Experience leading workshops that promote engagement/involvement • Self motivated  • Local Lebanese • Valid driver’s license  Desirable: • Experience with humanitarian work • Enthusiastic about working within community based health approach • Relevant experience of 1-2 years • Fluent in both Arabic and English (reading, writing and speaking)  Location: • Central and West Bekaa, and Hasbiya  Duration:  • 2 months (July and August, 2017) Salary: • $600/month
