MEAL Manager Zahle

 

 

Key Responsibilities


1. MEAL Management and Leadership
  • Lead MEAL activities across all projects with minimal supervision.
  • Take initiative in planning, implementing, and following up on MEAL processes in both Zahle and Beirut.
  • Design, manage, and continuously improve MEAL systems and tools to ensure effective tracking of project activities and outcomes.

 

2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

  • Develop and regularly update logframes, MEAL plans, indicators, and data collection tools.
  • Support baseline and endline assessments, evaluations, and needs assessments.
  • Analyze collected data and share findings to inform learning and improve project implementation.

 

 


3. Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)
  • Develop and manage accountability mechanisms, including feedback and complaint systems.
  • Ensure communities are meaningfully engaged in the project cycle, and that their feedback informs programming.
  • Promote transparency, participation, and inclusion across all MEAL activities.

 

4. Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare clear and concise MEAL reports for internal and external use.
  • Lead the monthly production of Salam’s internal Newsletter, including key figures, success stories, outputs, and visual content.
  • Update and report regularly on the Activity Info Platform.
  • Support reporting requirements for donors, partners, and coordination bodies.

 

5. Proposal Development and Planning

  • Contribute to project proposals, including drafting of logframes, MEAL sections, and indicator tables.
  • Participate in the planning phase of new projects, providing MEAL input to ensure alignment with objectives and accountability standards.

 

 


6. Coordination and Representation
  • Attend relevant sector coordination meetings and contribute MEAL insights when needed.
  • Coordinate with partners and stakeholders on joint monitoring activities or information sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with sector standards and humanitarian principles in MEAL work.

 

 Qualifications and Skills
  • University degree in social sciences, international development, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in MEAL or data management roles, preferably with NGOs.
  • Good knowledge of project logframes, indicators, and reporting.
  • Experience in contributing to proposal writing.
  • Familiarity with sector coordination mechanisms and reporting on Activity Info.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
  • Familiarity with tools like Kobo, Excel, Google Forms, etc.
