Trainer – Inclusive Advocacy Training on Accessible Public Spaces

To build the capacity of a diverse group of participants (PWDs and non-disabled allies) in
advocacy skills with a focus on disability inclusion and public space accessibility, and to
co-develop and execute an advocacy activity.

Scope of Work
The selected trainer will:
Pre-Training
 Conduct a short needs assessment call with organizers.
 Design a participatory 2-day training curriculum, tailored to the local context.

 Prepare inclusive and accessible training materials (slides, handouts, group
activities).
Training Delivery (2 Full Days, 4 Sessions Total)
 Deliver engaging and interactive sessions on:
o Disability rights and inclusion principles
o What is advocacy? Key concepts and tools
o The importance of inclusive public spaces
o Developing and executing an advocacy plan
 Facilitate group discussions between PWDs and non-disabled participants.
 Support participants in developing a concrete, realistic advocacy plan.
Post-Training
 Guide participants in executing one advocacy activity (e.g., public event,
petition, awareness walk, social media campaign).
 Provide short documentation/report on the training and activity.
 Offer light coaching or follow-up support (1–2 hours) if needed.

Required Qualifications
 Proven experience in advocacy training and facilitation, preferably in disability
rights, human rights, or community organizing
 Deep understanding of the rights of Persons with Disabilities and inclusive
development (familiarity with the UNCRPD is a plus)
 Experience working with mixed groups of PWDs and non-disabled individuals
 Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
 Arabic fluency (required), English and/or French (desirable)
 Based in or willing to travel to Tripoli, Lebanon
 Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
