MEAL Consultant

Summary:

Sama for Development (SFD) is implementing the project “Enhancing Women’s Leadership in Humanitarian Crisis Planning and Response in South Lebanon” funded by UN-Women. As part of the implementation, SFD requires the services of a MEAL consultant to ensure the effectiveness, relevance, and impact of its interventions.
Objective

1. Scope of Work

The service provider will be responsible for the following activities:

• Develop and adapt M&E tools
• Conduct baseline and endline surveys over 2 years of the project
• Facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and analyze qualitative & quantitative data
• Implement capacity building for project staff
• Design and carry out needs assessments
• Train field teams on data collection methods and provide coaching session/s on the field
• Provide data analysis and reporting

2. Expected deliverables

• Deliverable 1: Customized MEAL tools (data collection, attendance sheets, checklist, baseline, midline and endline …)
• Deliverable 2: Survey reports
• Deliverable 3: FGD summary and analysis
• Deliverable 4: Training materials and reports
• Deliverable 5: Need Assessment report
• Deliverable 6: Data analysis report

3. Duration and Timeline

• This is not a full-time role; work will be assigned only when needed throughout the 2-years period.

  The total duration should not exceed [7] working days during the month from the date of signature of agreement.

4.  Location of Implementation

•  The services will be delivered in South Lebanon: Activities may require travel to various sites within the targeted locations (Saida, Baysaryeh and Sarafand)

5.  Qualifications of the Service Provider :

The applicant (individual or company) must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in MEAL design and implementation
• Strong knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods
• Excellent reporting and data visualization skills
• Experience in training and capacity building
• Previous work in humanitarian or development projects is a preferable
