Risk Monitoring Focal Point

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor Risks in Shelters

Visit assigned shelters regularly

Observe and flag any child protection, safeguarding, and safety risks (e.g. overcrowding, unsafe spaces, children at risk, exclusion)

Report issues to the supervisor in a timely manner

 

2. Check CWC & IEC Materials

Ensure key materials are visible and accessible, including:

PSEA information

Complaint/reporting mechanisms

Available services and hotlines

Report any gaps or missing materials

 

3. Support Safe Identification & Referrals

Act as a focal point for receiving concerns from facilitators or community workers

Ensure safe and confidential referral of cases through established pathways, including:

Child Protection / GBV case management

Specialized protection services (Child Protection, GBV case management, and family tracing and reunification services for unaccompanied or separated children)

Do not manage cases directly — refer only

 

4. Coordinate with Facilitators

Follow up with CBPSS facilitators on any protection concerns during sessions

Ensure issues are escalated when needed

 

5. Reporting

Share regular updates on:

Risks observed

Actions taken

Referrals made

Immediately report urgent cases
