Finance Volunteer

SAMS Lebanon is offering a paid volunteering opportunity in the field of Accounting and Finance, aiming to engage dedicated individuals to support the finance department in various related duties.

Scope of Volunteer Work

Ensure accurate and complete invoice review and audit:

Review supplier invoices and verify that all required supporting documents (Hospital Invoices, Financial Statements, Patient ID, etc.) are accounted for. Implement a thorough auditing process to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

Process payments in compliance with policies:

Prepare payment requests and send them to the assigned Finance staff for payment processing, adhering to the guidelines outlined in the organization's financial system and donor policies. Ensure timely and accurate payment disbursement.

Coordinate timely submission of invoices and documents:

Collaborate with employees and suppliers to ensure the timely submission of invoices and related documents to the SAMS office. Monitor and track submissions to meet deadlines and prevent delays in payment processing.

Ensure proper filing and archiving:

Maintain an organized filing and archiving system for financial documents, ensuring compliance with established processes. Regularly review the filing system and address any discrepancies or gaps to facilitate efficient retrieval of documents.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess experience in reviewing and auditing hospital invoices. Familiarity with UN donor requirements, policies, procedures, and compliance is advantageous. Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Arabic language is required. Additionally, the candidate should have good command over MS Office tools, including Excel and Word.
