The Outreach and Communication Officer (OCA0 will be responsible to perform and fulfill field and office tasks as required by the Project Coordinator and in line with LHF project goal and standards.
Reporting and Coordination lines:
Reports to: Project Coordinator.
Direct Coordination: MEAL, Safety and Security, Operations, Media.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the partner organization, including their profile, geographic reach and capacity;
- Develop and draft outreach plans for SAMS project;
- Participate in the identification of partners, as per SAMS guidelines and standards;
- Under the guidance from the Project Coordinator, provide support to partners with patients’ referrals, invoices submission as required;
- Report any safety and security incidents involving partners, and keep up to date with all contextual changes and the impact on current or future project;
- Act as focal point and liaise closely with SAMS partners, Ministry of Public Health, embassies focal point, to gather and receive patients’ information eligible to benefit from SAMS activities;
- Maintain day-to-day communication with partners’ to closely follow up on the implementation of activities, providing coaching as required, to ensure that activities are implemented according to plan.
- Identify potential beneficiaries to the relevant project as per the set criteria and raise beneficiaries’ concerns and report to the project coordinator;
- Represent SAMS at district level to district ministries and agencies, UN agencies, international and national NGOs and ensure that SAMS is coordinated with and share minutes.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to stakeholders to assess the need of the project;
- Disseminate information at the community level as required;
- Act as the key point of contact between SAMS and hospitals’ partners;
- Assist the project’s assistant in obtaining information and knowledge on the relevant available services that support patients’ referrals.
- Organize localized coordination meetings with other agencies operating for information sharing;
- Represent SAMS at district level to district ministries and agencies, UN agencies, international and national NGOs meetings and working groups and ensure that SAMS is coordinated with and share minutes.
- Report to the Project Coordinator on a daily basis the targets reached, activities progress, obstacles, gaps, and needs.
- Adhere by SAMS Safeguarding and PSEA policies;
- Comply by all SAMS policies and Code of Conduct;

Qualifications required:
- At least 1 to 2 years’ experience working in international organizations;
- Experience in field work in Lebanon;
- Experience in communication with Health facilities and entities is a plus;
- Ability to engage with community members in an open manner, maintain confidentiality and respect;
- Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to details;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to work as a member of a team and independently;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, listening and communication skills
- Excellent written and oral English skills and reporting.
